Mom Time

I just talked to my Mom a few minutes ago and as usual, talking to her is a big 'bonus' of my day. Only a Mom can be a Mom- totally devoted, understanding, patient. To boot, she is a great advice giver and sometimes she really puts things in perspective for me. Today I was talking to her about my weight loss and just some difficulties I'm facing right now and she really helped to see how things SHOULD be seen.

Some comments that she said were very much needed.
-Families have to bear things with each other. Especially with kids- since a child is BOTH the mother and father's responsibility.

-There should be no blame game. If both spouses are frustrated, overwhelmed, sleep-deprived, nerves are going to be on end, but this is a good time not to blame the other spouse.

-There needs to be understanding between both spouses as to the fact that a child will not always act like an adult, i.e. behave composed in public, sleep through the night every night, not mess his pants.

-It's Very tough to be parents. You need all the help you can get. Work on ways that you can minimize the stress factors.

-Being a parent requires lots of patience with yourself, with your spouse and also with your child.

Thanks Mom for your advice, concern and prayers. I love you!
