Christmas Time

We're back in Unnao after 15 days and we've entered the land of Ice. It seems like the wicked witch of the North has cast her spell here like she did in Narnia and we need some kids to come and free us. Oh Lord have mercy- it's so cold. If you want to imagine how cold it is in the house right now- open your fridge and imagine the temp to be 2 times colder there and you'll have an idea of how cold it is. We have been blessed though, for the last 2 days with sunshine for a few hours so it makes things a bit bearable and the clothes a bit more dryable. I am wondering as I always do at every winter and summer time (which is 9 months out of the year) why in the world do we live here?? Is it worth it to live where night and day, most of the year the climate is intolerable. I really hope to move somewhere in India where we don't have to struggle so.

Our Christmas trip was magical for the most part. Even though I was afflicted with huge pimples for all of the trip, it was amazing to see so many of the people who mean a lot to me. I can only thank God for giving me this opportunity. To see my grandparents and aunts was just incredible and Samir bore it all with amazing patience and social skills. Go Samir! Chetan is another Story. He decided that he didn't want to see all those people and that He'd rather stay with Mom and Dad Only. Much to my dismay. That little Rascal. But he's adorable. What to do?

Anyway, one of the best parts about our time in Noida was that Samir and I got to attend the Midnight Service on New Year's Eve. I was truly blessed to usher in the New Year in Church, taking a silent minute to thank God for the past year and ask His blessings for the coming one at the stroke of midnight. Really- because of God, life is all worthwhile and full of hope and no matter what lies ahead, I know that I can go to my Father and know that His Spirit is there to help me get through.
