I am going to Delhi this weekend and I don't think anyone can understand what this trip means to me. Here are 12 things that I'm looking forward to on this trip:
1. I get to wear whatever I want- mainly this means that I can wear jeans/ pants, and not feel uncomfartable. In Unnao, I can't step out without a salwar.
2. I get to go wherever I want- to 18 Sector, to visit friends, here, there, everywhere- and by myself too- if I wish. I can't go anywhere in Unnao by myself.
3. I can go to the park with Chetan.
4. I can converse with my mom-in-law and have an adult conversation during the day.
5. I can speak in English to most anyone in Delhi. In Unnao I can't speak in English with anyone except Samir.
6. I can have intelligent conversations with my in-laws and watch TV at thier house.
7. I'll get some free time to spend on my own- without Chetan.
8. I get to eat good food (my mom-in-law) is a great cook.
9. I won't have to cook or do the usual mundane things I need to do when I'm in Unnao.
10. I get to visit all my old haunts and old friends and see my old church.
11. I get to witness one of my closest friends in India get married.
12. I get to travel.
