Looking Forward

It has been a season of fun, family, fellowship, food, laughter and reflection. I've had a wonderful Christmas break and now I'm thinking ahead. 'A whole year is waiting to be lived',a friend recently said and I am looking forward to live it. What about you? I am pondering the words of Jesus, 'I came so that you may have life and have it to the full.' That's the life I look forward to living. I want my soul to be awake- I want to live a fresh brewed life. Not that I am living a stale life right now, but I certainly want more of a fresh-brewed presence there. How do I start the New Year with this kind of abundant living?

1. By fellowshipping with Jesus. By being still before Him. By reflecting on what He is teaching me and by journaling about it. I will get up before Chetan so I can start my day with Him- some moments alone with God.

2. By appreciating my own beauty. Not in a vain way ofcourse but just loving the way God has made me. This also means that I eat well, I eat enough, I eat on time and that I take time to exercise.

3. By focussing on what's important in my life: My family (cooking nutritious food, having a family devotion time, tithing regularly) my home (organizing, keeping it neat and clean) and work towards accomplishing my B.Ed. That's it. No other focuses.

The above 3 are my New Year's resolutions for the coming year. This year I am focussing mostly on ME.

How will you awake your soul in the coming year?
