Eating Healthy

Almost by default, we have become a family that eats healthy food. Since coming to Unnao and since having Chetan, we have cut out the junk and this is what we eat now on a pretty much every day basis. Starting from Breakfast to Dinner:

Breakfast
- soaked almonds
- soaked raw Indian chick peas with lemon and salt
- Egg, fried in butter which we make at home
- Cheese
- 2 bananas
- Tea
- 1 bottle of milk (for Chetan)
- White Bread (the only unhealthy breakfast item we eat). There are no healthy alternatives available here but once I can get an oven, I plan to make my own.

Mid- Morning Snack
- Tea
- Raisins, Cashwes for Chetan

Lunch

- Roti
- Vegetable dish
- Home made Yogurt
- One type of Fruit
- Salad
- Tomato for Chetan
- Milk

Dinner
- Roti
- Dal
- Rice Occasionally. Try to restrict it since we eat white rice since no wild or brown rice is available though I LOVE rice- any kind, white or brown.
- Vegetable dish
- Milk for all of us

Chetan eats all the items mentioned above. Though for the egg and veggies, I have to lure him with sauce to eat with his rotis!

In the coming year, I am looking at replacing my WHITE bread, rice and sugar with healthier and natural alternatives.

Here's too more healthful eating in the future.

Arps this is so great...I kinda wish I was forced into eating healthy too..actually all that sounds pretty good...and great that you are teaching Chetan to eat healthy as well.
