Boys will be Boys

Difficulties I am facing with raising Chetan:

1. Discipline issues: Chetan likes to get his way. Lately he'll cry, scream- do whatever it takes until we give him his way. Who said disciplining was an easy thing? We really need a lot of prayer and lots of patience.

2. He's staying up way too late. For the last 3 nights, he's only gone to bed after 11:00pm. Whew! We feel wrung out.

3. Ever since we've come back from the hospital, Che's appetite has been real slack. It almost had me worried but then I've been praying about this and so have the grandmothers so it's steadily improving but he's still got a ways to go to improve weight.

4. I know he's a kid and that too- he's a boy- but he LOVES dirt. His favourite play time is when he's munching on my slippers- especially the ones that I've worn out on the dirty, horrible streets of Unnao. He's more attracted to food that's fallen on the floor than what's on his plate.

5. These days, he'd rather not sit on our lap or on a chair to eat his food- he wants to sit ON the dining table itself. Geez louise. All this has taught me a great lesson on not to judge other parents when their kids misbehave.

6. Instead on sitting on the little potty we've bought him, he thinks it's a cool play thing and refuses to sit on it. He refuses to sit anywhere for more than 5 seconds.

Please help us God to deal with these areas and to teach our Child all the ways that please you. Give us strength, patience and wisdom.
